Our name is quite long, Kothari Gulab Chand Parshotam Das, but most people just know us by the family name. We operate on the Adajan Road area which connects things between Vadodara and Surat in a way. It’s a busy stretch of road and we have been set up here for quite some time now. This business has been through a lot of changes over the years but the core of what we do stays the same. We handle a variety of goods and materials depending on what is in demand. The office is full of old files and some newer stuff too. It is a mix of the old way of doing things and trying to keep up with how people buy things now. We are right in the thick of it with all the other shops on Adajan Road. It gets loud and there is always someone coming or going. We don't use any flashy signs or anything like that. People usually find us because they’ve been coming here for years or someone told them where we were. We just focus on the day-to-day stuff like checking inventory and making sure the accounts are right. It is not a glamorous job but it is ours. We are just local people trying to keep a family business going in a world that seems to be moving faster and faster every year. We plan to stay right here.
