Kheteshshwar Sweets & Farsan

Kheteshshwar Sweets & Farsan is located right in Nizampura, directly opposite the old Orient Cinema. It is a busy spot, especially in the evenings when everyone is out looking for a snack. We start our day very early, long before most people are awake, to get the frying and the sugar syrups ready. The smell of oil and sweets usually fills the air around the shop. We have a lot of different trays laid out with all kinds of snacks and treats. It’s not a polished place, just a standard shop with glass counters that we are constantly wiping down because of fingerprints. Being near the cinema means we get a lot of foot traffic. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic when twenty people want something at the same time, but we manage to get everyone their packets. We don't really go in for fancy packaging or big marketing campaigns. We just put the food out and people buy it. Some days the heat from the kitchen is almost too much, but the work has to be done. We’ve been here in Nizampura for quite some time, and we know most of the people who live in the nearby buildings. It is a simple life of making food and serving it to the neighbors. There is always something to do, whether it's bagging up farsan or prepping the next batch. We just stay busy.
