Jignesh Shah here. My office is over in Manjalpur, specifically at 12 A Shreeeji Baug Society. Most people know the area because of the Sita Baug Garba Ground or the Jain Temple near the D Mart. I have been doing architecture and interior design from this spot for quite a while now. It is a busy part of Vadodara, and I like being in the middle of it. I spend most of my days looking at drawings or talking to people about their house renovations. Living and working in Manjalpur means I see the same faces at the local tea stalls every morning. The office isn't anything fancy, just a practical place where we get the work done. We handle everything from the initial floor plans to picking out the right tiles for a bathroom. Sometimes the work is slow, and other times it is a bit of a rush to get things finished before a deadline. People usually just drop by or call if they have a project in mind. Being near the D Mart makes it easy for clients to find us without getting lost. I don't like using big words to describe what I do. It is really just about making spaces work better for the families living in them. We deal with the usual stuff like structural changes or just figuring out where a cupboard should go. Vadodara is growing fast, and there is always something new happening around here. I keep the doors open and try to stay organized, though my desk usually has a few too many blueprints on it than it should.
