It’s a convenient spot because it’s right on the main road, so we get to see everything that’s happening in the neighborhood. Our office is fairly small and filled with the usual stuff you’d expect—lots of paper, pens, and computer screens. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just come in every morning and work on whatever building plans are on the desk. Sometimes it’s a small shop front and other times it’s a family house. We know the local building codes pretty well since we’ve worked around here so much. People just stop by when they have a question about a wall they want to move or a new roof they want to put in. It’s a regular local business vibe. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm in the city or anything like that. We just want to do work that holds up and makes sense for the people living there. The traffic on the main road can be loud, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We’re usually around if you need to talk about a project, though it's better to call first to make sure we aren't at a site. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the drawings pile up faster than we can file them.
