Jagdish Farshan

We've been here on Senapati Bapat Road for quite a while now. People usually just drop in when they're passing through Sayajigun. It's a small place at number 5, and we don't have much space for anything other than the food. We mostly deal with snacks and savory items like different types of farshan. It gets really busy in the mornings because people want something fresh to take home for their tea. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at. We just keep the counters stocked and the floor swept. My family started this business, and we've stayed in the same spot through all the changes in the city. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it really hard to park, but folks still find a way to come by. We don't really do much advertising or any of that internet stuff. Word of mouth from the neighbors seems to work just fine for us. The shelves are usually full of different fried things and transparent packets. It's a bit noisy with the street right there and the trucks going past. We spend a lot of time just packing things up and talking to the regulars. Some days are much longer than others, especially around festival times when everyone wants extras for their guests. We try to keep things organized, though it often gets a bit cluttered behind the counter. It's just how we work here. Nothing too complicated or polished.
