Jagdish Farsan

We’ve been here at Subhanpura Alkapuri for a good while now, right at GF, 12, 13. Most mornings start pretty early for us. We get the fryers going and start making the daily batches of farsan before the sun is even fully up. It’s a lot of work, but that’s just how things go around here. You see the same faces every day, people stopping by on their way to work or just picking something up for their family tea time. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a regular place where we keep things moving. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the afternoons, especially when the weather is nice. We try to keep the counters stocked so nobody has to wait too long. It's mostly about making sure everything is fresh and ready. My hands are usually covered in flour or spices by noon. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are in Alkapuri. It’s a simple life running a shop like Jagdish Farsan. We just focus on the snacks and getting through the day’s list of tasks. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected, but we just start over again the next day. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, right here in the neighborhood. Nothing more to it than that, really. Just a local spot for people who want something to eat and don't want any fuss.
