J K Sweets & Namkin

J K Sweets & Namkin is situated on North Public Square Road 9 in Fertilizer Nagar. It’s a fairly quiet area compared to the city center, which we like. We spend most of our time in the back where the cooking happens. There is always a smell of frying or sugar in the air. We make our namkin in batches and try to keep the glass cases full of sweets. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day. We start early in the morning to get the fresh stuff out before the neighbors start their day. Road 9 isn't the busiest road, but we have our regulars from around Fertilizer Nagar who come in every day for their snacks. We don't use any fancy packaging or have a big marketing plan. We just put the food in bags and boxes and hand it over. The shop is simple, with some basic shelves and a counter that’s seen better days. We try to keep things clean, but when you're working with flour and sugar, it’s a constant battle. We like being part of the community here. You see the kids growing up and the older folks coming in for their usual treats. It’s a honest way to make a living. J K Sweets & Namkin is just a local spot where you can get something good to eat without any fuss. We enjoy the work and the people here.
