Our place is at D-10 in the Sahyog Society, which is tucked into the Gorwa area of Vadodara along Refinery Road. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels very much like a home. We have set up the space for small children to spend their day while their parents are at work. There are bright colors on the walls and plenty of toys scattered around the floor in the activity rooms. In the mornings, you’ll see cars and scooters pulling up outside the society as people drop off their toddlers. It can get quite loud with all the singing and playing, but that’s just part of life at a kids' center. We have a small outdoor area where they can run around for a bit before the sun gets too high. The staff here are mostly local women who have been with us for a while. We don't have a big corporate office; we just work out of this house in the society. The kitchen is always busy preparing snacks or warming up milk. Most of our day is spent making sure the kids are safe and occupied with something to do. It’s a simple, practical setup for families living near the refinery or in the Gorwa part of town. We keep the gate closed for safety, but parents are always coming and going at the designated times. It’s just a local spot for childhood. We try to keep things organized, even when the playrooms get a little chaotic.
