Gwalia Sweet

We’ve been here at Akota Kannamangala for quite a while now. If you know where Genda Circle is, then you probably know our spot. It’s usually pretty busy in the mornings because that’s when everything is fresh out of the kitchen. We spend a lot of time making sure the milk is right and the sugar isn't too much or too little. It’s just how things are done here at Gwalia Sweet. Most days, you’ll see me or one of the boys behind the counter. It isn't a fancy place, just a regular shop where people stop by on their way home. Sometimes the floor gets a bit sticky when it's crowded, but we try to keep up. We make a lot of different things, like the usual stuff everyone likes to eat during festivals. You can smell the cardamom and ghee from down the street some days. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. People just know we are here near the circle. It’s a lot of work, standing on your feet all day and checking the trays, but it’s what we do. We have some regulars who come in every single day for the same thing. It makes the day go by faster when you know the faces. Anyway, if you're ever around the 390020 area, you can't really miss us. We’re just a local business trying to make things taste good for the neighborhood.
