Gokulesh Provision

In the middle of Makarpura you will find Gokulesh Provision. It is a place where we keep all the things people need for their kitchens and homes. We have big bags of rice and different kinds of lentils sitting near the front. The smell of spices is always around, which is quite nice when you walk in from the street. We try to keep the shelves organized but sometimes things get a bit messy when we are busy with a lot of customers at once. It’s just how it goes in a grocery store. Makarpura is a busy area so there is always someone coming in for a last-minute item they forgot for dinner. We spend a lot of time weighing out items and putting them into small bags. The counter is made of old wood and it has some scratches from years of use. We don't have fancy lights or big signs inside. It is just us working here every day from early morning until late evening. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat for a bit while they wait for their tea leaves or sugar to be packed. We know which brands people like and we try to keep those in stock as much as we can. It’s a simple business but it keeps us busy and we like being part of the daily life here. We see the same faces every week and it feels like a community in this part of town.
