Gokul Sweet & Farsan

You can find us at number 194 on the Akota Zirakpur Road. It is a very busy part of town with a lot of noise from the traffic. We have been here for a while and the shop has become a regular stop for many people. We mostly focus on making different kinds of sweets and farsan. The kitchen in the back is where we spend the bulk of our time. It gets very hot back there especially when we have all the burners going at once. We do not have any special secret recipes or anything like that. We just follow the same steps we always have. The floor gets a little bit sticky by the end of the day so mopping is a big chore we have to do every night before we can go home. We use plain boxes and bags for everything we sell. There is no fancy branding on them. Sometimes we have a long line of people out the door during the festival season and things can get a bit chaotic in here. We try our best to keep up but we are only human. The shelves are usually full in the morning but they look pretty empty by the evening. It is a lot of standing on our feet all day and my back usually hurts by the time I lock up. That is just how the job is.
