Ganesh Provision Store

Ganesh Provision Store is at Shop Number 7 in the Kalas Complex in Gotri. We are situated near Gotri Lake and right behind the motor school. It’s a nice area and many people stop by after taking their walks near the water. The shop is a regular provision store where we keep all the things you might run out of at home. We have oil, flour, spices, and cleaning items like brooms and detergents. The Kalas Complex has several other shops but we have been here a while. Sometimes the monkeys from near the lake come close and we have to keep an eye on the fruit or snacks we have near the front. It's a small place and we have to stack things high up to make everything fit. The floor is just plain cement and the shelves are made of simple wood. We don't use a computer for everything, we still write down many things in a ledger. It gets quite warm in the afternoons so we usually have a small radio playing some music to pass the time. Most of our customers are locals who live in the nearby houses and buildings. We have seen their children grow up over the years. We just try to keep the essentials in stock so nobody has to go too far for their daily needs. It is a quiet way of making a living in Gotri.
