Gac People Council

Gac People Council is located at 149 Kanha Residency. We are right near St Basil School in the Maretha village area. It’s a bit outside the main city center of Vadodara, which makes it a bit quieter for us. We’ve been operating from this spot for a while now. It’s a regular residential kind of area, so it feels more like a home than a business office. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is around just answers the door. Our work involves talking to people in the village and the nearby taluka about different things they need. It’s a simple operation with just a handful of staff. We don't use big words or have fancy brochures. We just sit around the table and talk about what needs to be done. Sometimes we meet at the school nearby or just outside the residency. Being in Maretha means we are close to the people we actually talk to. It’s a very local feel. We don't have a lot of money for big signs, so you just have to look for the house number. We like it this way because it keeps us grounded. There isn't any corporate pressure here, just the daily tasks of helping the council run and making sure we listen to what the neighbors are saying. Sometimes we spend hours just listening to stories. It is a slow process but it feels right for where we are located. We just keep things moving.
