Erena General Store

We've been here near Ashirwad Complex for a while now. The Main Road gets pretty busy in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. I usually get the shutters up early to get the cleaning done before the first milk delivery comes in. It’s just a regular store, nothing fancy to look at from the outside. We keep most things people need daily, like tea, sugar, and those little packets of biscuits kids like. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard to hear customers, but you get used to the noise. The shelves stay pretty packed because people stop by on their way home too. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure nothing is sitting past its date. Vadodara heat gets tough in the summer, especially with the door open all day. I try to keep enough cold drinks in the fridge for the college boys and the rickshaw drivers who stop here. It’s a simple life running Erena General Store. We know most of the faces that walk in, which makes the long hours feel a bit shorter. There’s always a crate to move or a bag of rice to weigh out. We don't have a big website or anything, just this shop right here on the street. If you're passing the complex, you'll see us there next to the other shops. That's about it really. We're just here every day doing our thing.
