Drakesh Grain Shop

It’s been a while since we set things up here in Pratap Nagar Sector 39. Most mornings start early, usually before the sun really gets high, just moving bags around and making sure the floor is swept. Drakesh Grain Shop isn't fancy. We have the usual stuff people need for their kitchens. Grains, pulses, the basic things. Sometimes the bags are heavy and the dust gets everywhere, but that’s just how it goes when you deal with this kind of work. People from around the sector come in, some just for a small bag and others stocking up for the whole month. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the shop front where we stack the latest arrivals. It gets busy in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work. You can find us right here in the neighborhood. We try to keep things organized, though it doesn't always stay that way when there's a lot of unloading to do from the trucks. The weather affects things too. If it’s raining, we have to move everything inside fast so nothing gets damp. It's just a regular shop run by regular people. We've known some of our customers for years now. They stop by to see what's in or just to say hello while they’re out doing errands. It’s quiet in the afternoons, which is when we usually catch up on the paperwork or fix some of the shelving that's starting to lean.
