We've been at Padra Road 6 for a good amount of time now. The name Das Pendwala Foods Pvt Ltd comes from the sweets we used to focus on when we first started, but now it's a bit more than that. We deal with various food items. The kitchen stays busy most of the day preparing batches of whatever is needed. It's not a quiet place at all, there's always the sound of heavy pots or packing machines going on in the back. People come by for boxes of sweets when there's a wedding or just a small gathering at home. We aren't trying to be a fancy cafe, just a place where you get decent food products without any fuss. Sometimes the traffic on Padra Road makes it really hard for the supply vans to park out front, which can be a real headache in the hot afternoons. We have a small staff of local people who have been with us for years. The floor gets a bit sticky when we are making the syrups, but we clean up as we go. We don't spend money on big signs or bright lights. If you know where we are, you just come in. It’s a simple, practical setup for a food business. We focus more on making sure the batches turn out right rather than how the front of the shop looks to people passing by. It's honest work and it keeps us on our feet all day long.
