Bhavani General Store

You will find Bhavani General Store over at 3 Bhagyshree Chambers in the GIDC Estate area of Ramangamdi, Aundh. Since we are in an industrial estate things are a bit different here. We get a lot of workers and people from the nearby offices coming in throughout the day. The mornings are usually the busiest when everyone is heading to work and needs a quick something. We keep a lot of snacks and bottled water ready. The shop is tucked into the chambers so it is not always the easiest to spot if you are just driving by quickly. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass jars on the counter. It gets dusty with all the construction and trucks moving around the estate. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when things get quiet in the mid-afternoon. The shelves are mostly filled with things people need for their lunch breaks or for their homes on the way back. We do not really change much around here and the calendar on the wall is usually a few days behind. It is a practical kind of place. We know what our regulars want before they even ask for it. It is not about being fancy, just about having the right things on the shelf when someone asks. The estate has its own vibe and we have just become part of it over time. We open early and close when the sun goes down.
