Bala Ji Store

Bala Ji Store is located at number 11 in Indira Shankar Nagri, over in the Karelibaug area on Paud Road. It is a bit of a mix of a location, but we are easy enough to find once you are in the neighborhood. The store is a general one, so we keep a bit of everything on hand. You might see stacks of snacks near the entrance and buckets or household items further back. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, but it does the job. We have a counter near the front where we spend most of our time. It’s a very casual environment. We don’t wear uniforms or follow a strict corporate script. If someone comes in looking for something we don't have, we just tell them straight. The street outside is usually full of parked scooters and people walking by. We have a small radio that plays in the background to keep things from being too quiet. Some days are slow, and we spend time tidying up the shelves or checking the expiry dates on the milk and bread. Other days, it feels like everyone in Indira Shankar Nagri decided to shop at the same time. We just take it as it comes. It is a small, family-style operation that doesn't need much explanation. We have been here at number 11 for a while, and we plan to stay right where we are, serving the local crowd as best as we can without making things complicated.
