Andap Provision Store

Our place is called Andap Provision Store, and we are located in Danteshwar Village on the Main Road in Vadodara. It’s a bit of an older part of the city, and things move at their own pace here. The shop is right on the edge of the road, so we get a lot of dust and noise from the passing cars and bikes. We keep all the basic provisions that a family might need for their daily cooking and cleaning. It’s a small shop, and sometimes the ceiling feels a bit low when it’s full of stock. We don’t have any modern decorations or anything like that. It’s just plain walls and metal shelves. Most of the people who come here are from Danteshwar Village itself, and we have known many of them since they were children. The work is mostly about keeping track of what is running low and making sure the jars are filled up. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or checking the quality of the grain we receive. It’s a lot of physical effort, especially when the heavy sacks arrive. We don't have a website or any social media. If people need something, they just walk over and ask. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when it's quiet, but there's usually something to tidy up inside. It’s just a steady, simple business that keeps us busy from dawn till dusk every day of the week.
