We've been here at Hotel Muskan Palace for a while now. Being near the railway station means there is always someone coming or going. You see the trains and then people walking over with their bags. We sit right across from Kamal Talkies, so when a movie lets out, the whole street gets busy all at once. It’s a bit noisy sometimes but that is just how it is in Ujjain. Doodh Talai is a familiar spot for everyone around here. We just go about our day, opening up in the morning and making sure things are ready for whoever walks through the door. Some people are just passing through because of the station, and others live right nearby and stop in just to say hello. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer, but the fans keep things moving. We don’t do anything fancy or complicated. It is just a regular place where we try to keep things clean and functional. You might notice the sign from the road if you are coming from the station side. We’ve seen the shops around us change over the years, but Kamal Talkies stays there, and we stay here. It’s a good spot to see the city life happening. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how things work. Every day is pretty much the same, but that’s alright with us.
