Priti Restaurant

If you ever find yourself at the Ujjain railway station and you're hungry, you’ll probably see us just a short walk away. Priti Restaurant is located at 25 Subhash Marg. It’s a busy area, especially with travelers coming and going at all hours. We’ve been here long enough that the building shows a bit of age, but we keep the inside clean and the kitchen running. It’s not the kind of place where you’d spend three hours over a meal; it’s more for people who need to eat and get back to their day or catch a train. The noise from the street is always there, and sometimes the station announcements drift over if the wind is right. We serve a lot of tea and quick snacks throughout the day. The staff is used to people being in a hurry, so they don't waste much time with small talk unless they know you. Being in Ujjain City, we get a mix of locals and pilgrims too. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing person. It’s just us making sure the pots are full and the tables are wiped down. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the evening because it was busier than we thought it would be. That’s just life in a small restaurant near a train station. We take it as it comes and try to be ready for the next day's crowd.
