Modak Restaurant

Modak Restaurant is located inside Hotel Atharva on Chintaman Road. We are right in the Freeganj area of Ujjain. It’s a busy spot, especially being so close to Gyan Sagar Academy and the Jantar Mantar. We get a lot of students and parents stopping by because of the school nearby. Also, people visiting the observatory come in for a meal after they are done looking around. The restaurant isn't very large. We have tables set up where people can just sit and eat without much fuss. It's not a fancy dining place with mood lighting or anything. It’s more like a place where you go when you’re actually hungry and just want a decent plate of food. We’ve been here for a while now. The kitchen keeps pretty busy during the lunch and dinner hours. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy when the school lets out and the kids are everywhere. We don’t try to be something we aren't. We just serve the food we know how to make. Being part of the hotel means we see travelers too. They usually want something simple after a long day of sightseeing in Ujjain. We keep the place tidy and try to make sure everyone gets served in time. If you're looking for us, just head towards Freeganj and look for the hotel sign. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't spend money on big ads. We just open the doors every morning.
