Shree Hari Laxmi Family Restaurant

We’ve been here at Dhanmati Chouraha for a while now. Most folks find us easily because we're right across from the Mahakal Indian Service on Shanpak Marg. It's a busy spot in Freeganj, but we try to keep things steady inside. My cousin and I started this place because we saw how many families were looking for a decent spot to sit down and eat together. We aren't fancy or anything. The tables are wooden, the chairs are sturdy, and we keep the floors swept. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when the lunch rush hits, especially on weekends when pilgrims come through Ujjain, but that's just how it goes. We do a lot of the cooking ourselves or watch over the kitchen staff closely to make sure the spices are right. If you’re coming from the main part of town, just head towards Shop No 26. We usually have the front door open to catch a breeze. People stop by for a quick bite or stay longer to chat over tea. It’s mostly locals who live around here, which is nice because we know most of their names by now. We don't have a big fancy menu, just the things we know how to make well and what people keep asking for. It’s just us doing our thing every day, making sure there is enough food for whoever walks in.
