We are based on University Road in Udaipur. Vijay Lakshmi Catrers & Decorators has been around this area for quite some time now. Our office isn't anything special to look at, mostly just a place where we keep the booking diary and meet with families. Most of our work happens in kitchens or at event venues across the city. We deal with food and decorations, which means we are usually covered in flour or carrying heavy drapes. It’s hard work, and the hours are long, especially during wedding season. You can usually find us discussing menu options or checking the inventory of plates and spoons. Udaipur is a beautiful place for events, and we’re glad to be a small part of that. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just make sure the food tastes like it should and the lights are hung straight. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, or a supplier is late, but we’ve learned to handle those things as they come. It’s a family-style operation here. We don't have a lot of formal meetings. Usually, we just talk over a cup of tea in the morning before the day gets crazy. We’ve stayed in the same spot because people know where to find us. If you’re near University Road, you might see our vans parked outside. We’re just local people doing a job we know well every single day.
