Rathi Brothers is situated right by the main gate of the Krishi Upaj Mandi in Hiran Magri, Sector-11. Being at A-35 means we see all the trucks and farmers coming in every single day. We deal with the stuff people need in the mandi area. It’s a loud place with lots of shouting and engines running. Our shop is where we keep the supplies and do our paperwork. We’ve been here since the mandi became a big deal. It’s a lot of dust and hard work. We don't wear suits or anything; usually, we’re just in our work clothes. We talk to the traders and the laborers all day long. It’s a community of people who work with their hands. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when the rain turns the ground to mud. We just keep the doors open and do what needs doing. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. We are just brothers running a business in a busy market. There’s no time for fancy talk when there are bags to move and records to keep. We know the rhythms of the mandi well by now. It’s a tough environment but it’s home for us. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay out of the way of the big trucks. That's our life here at the main gate.
