Jain Tent House

We are right here on Fatehpura Bedla Road. It’s been a lot of years since we started Jain Tent House. Most days it is just about checking the poles and making sure the cloths are washed after the last wedding. People come in asking for big setups or just a few chairs for a small prayer meeting at home. We have these heavy iron pipes and piles of carpets that need moving around. Sometimes the wind gets really bad and we worry about the stuff standing up out there in the fields. It is a lot of physical work, loading the tempo and driving out to different spots. My clothes usually get dusty by noon. We don’t have any fancy office, just the storage space and a desk where I sit and write down the dates in a big register. If you walk past, you’ll see the guys folding up the big colorful drapes or stacking the plastic chairs. It gets really busy during the marriage season, almost no sleep then. We just keep things moving, trying to make sure everything gets where it needs to go on time. The traffic on Bedla Road can be a pain when we are trying to get the truck out. We just do our work and go home. There isn't much more to it than that. Just keeping the inventory ready for whoever needs it next. It’s hard work but it’s what we know how to do here. We just hope the weather stays clear for the clients.
