Prabhat Bistar Bhandar

Prabhat Bistar Bhandar is located in Hiran Magri Sector - 11, specifically at number 14. We deal in all things related to sleep and sitting, like mattresses, pillows, and quilts. The air in the shop is often full of tiny bits of cotton fluff, especially when we are filling new pillows or fixing up an old gadda. It makes you sneeze sometimes, but you get used to it after a week or two. We have large rolls of fabric leaned against the walls and sewing machines that hum for most of the afternoon. People come to us when they are moving into a new house or when the winter is coming and they need something warm for their beds. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workshop where things get made and sold. Sector 11 is a nice area, a bit quieter than the main city center, so we have a lot of regular customers who live nearby. We usually have tea together in the afternoon while we work on an order. It’s honest work, mostly involving a lot of stitching and stuffing by hand. We don't really do any marketing; people just know we are here because we’ve been at this spot for years. The floor is usually covered in scraps of cloth, and we only tidy up when we’re about to close the shutters for the night.
