Latest Tent House

Latest Tent House is our business, and we are right in the middle of the city at Mukherji Chowk, number 18. Being in the chowk means it is always crowded and noisy outside our doors with people shopping. We have a narrow entrance that leads to a big back room where we cram in all our event supplies. We have everything from basic lighting rigs to large decorative gates made of plywood and fresh paint. It is a constant struggle to keep everything organized in such a tight space. We often have to move ten things just to reach the one specific item a customer wants to see. Our days are spent talking to people about their upcoming parties and trying to figure out if we have enough matching table cloths for their guest list. Sometimes we run short on items and have to call around to other shops to see who can lend us a few. The work is very seasonal; some months we are barely sleeping because there are so many setups to do, and other months we are just sitting around fixing broken chairs or cleaning fabrics. We use a lot of tape and wire to keep things together during a busy week. It is not always pretty behind the scenes, but once the tent is up and the lights are on, it looks decent enough. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here at number 18 and walk in.
