Bhanawat Electrical

Our shop, Bhanawat Electrical, is at Bhupalpura 9. It’s a place filled with wires, tubes, and spare parts for just about anything that runs on a battery or a plug. If you walk in, you might have to step over a few old ceiling fans waiting to be fixed or some rolls of black wire. We spend a lot of time with screwdrivers in our hands, trying to figure out why an old motor won't turn anymore. It’s not a clean place, because there is always grease and bits of copper lying around on the floor. We’ve been in Bhupalpura for years now. Most of our customers are people from the surrounding streets who have a broken iron or need a new fuse for their house. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights and glass tables. It’s more of a workshop where things actually get repaired by hand. Sometimes a repair takes longer than we thought, especially if we have to wait for a specific part to arrive from the other side of the city. We try to be honest about how much time it will take. My father started this business, and now I handle most of the daily stuff. We don't do much advertising at all. People just know where we are located. It’s a steady stream of work, and that’s fine by us. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a short break.
