Tulsi Niketan Residential School

You can find Tulsi Niketan Residential School over in Hiran Magri Section 4, right across from where the Oriental Bank of Commerce used to be on Mahavir Nagar Marg. Being a residential school here in Udaipur, our days start much earlier than most. The students live on the premises, so the place never really stays quiet for long. We have the dormitories on one side and the classrooms on the other. It’s a practical arrangement that has worked for us for years. The building is a bit older, with thick walls that help keep the Rajasthan heat out during the summer months. We have a mess hall where everyone eats together. The food is simple, like what you’d get at home. Our staff members stay on-site too, so they’re always around if a student needs something in the middle of the night. We don’t go for anything flashy. The playground is just dirt and some grass, but the kids don't care about that when they're playing football. We deal with the usual problems like leaky taps or a fused bulb now and then. Life here is about a routine—wake up, study, eat, and sleep. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just look after the kids and try to teach them right. It’s a community of people living and learning together in a busy part of Udaipur, and we've been at it for a long time now.
