Working in the tent business means you don't get much sleep during the wedding season. We are located at Hiran Magri Sector-14, right on the Main Road at A Block, house 38. Most of the time, our backyard is full of iron poles, heavy fabric, and stacks of plastic chairs. It’s a lot of heavy lifting. My team and I spend most mornings loading the trucks to go to different venues. We do the decorations too, mostly traditional stuff with flowers and cloth hangings. It's dusty work, and my clothes are usually covered in some sort of grime by noon. I’ve been doing this for a long time. You learn how to tie knots that won't slip even if there’s a bit of wind. Sector-14 is a busy area, so getting the big trucks out onto the main road can be a headache sometimes. We also keep those big desert coolers for the summer functions. They are heavy and a pain to move, but people need them. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to workers or checking if the laundry sent the table covers back yet. It isn't a glamorous job, but seeing a bare ground turn into a colorful party space is something I still find interesting after all these years. We try to be on time, but traffic is always a mess. Sometimes we are still setting up while the guests arrive.
