Ashok Nagar is where we are based. Sajawat Tent & Decorators has been around since I can remember. We do a lot of the local decorations for small parties and some bigger events too. It’s mostly about the fabrics and the lights. We have different colored drapes and some basic lighting stuff. Usually, people come to us when they have something going on at their house or in a nearby community hall. It’s a lot of manual labor, carrying stuff up and down. We don't really do much advertising, mostly it is just word of mouth from people who live nearby. Sometimes the rain messes things up and we have to dry everything out. That is the worst part of the job. But usually, it goes fine. My brothers and I handle the bookings. We are not very corporate, just a family-run place. If you walk past our spot, you will see us sorting through the inventory or cleaning the cloths. We have some old trucks for the transport. It is a simple life here. We see the same faces every day in the market. Ashok Nagar is a good place for us because everyone knows where we are. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way. It is not always easy, but it keeps us busy throughout the year. We are just local people helping with the local celebrations in our own small way.
