National Enterprises

National Enterprises is at Mochiwada, Jamalpura 8. This part of town is always full of life. You can hear the sounds of the market from our doorstep. We handle various goods and trade items. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be clever about how we stack the boxes. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes. We’ve been operating from this same spot for quite a few years now. The floor is old stone and it stays cool in the heat. We don't have air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that wobbles a little. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers or helping customers who walk in. It’s a lot of face-to-face interaction. We don't use much technology besides a basic calculator and an old phone. It’s more about the relationships we’ve built over time. People know they can find us here from early morning until the evening when the market starts to quiet down. We don't put out flyers or anything. If people need what we have, they find their way to Mochiwada. Sometimes we sit on stools outside when it’s slow, just watching the world go by. It’s not a complicated business model. We buy things, we sell things, and we try to keep things moving. It’s a decent way to earn a living in a place we know well. We usually share some snacks in the afternoon with the other shopkeepers on the block.
