M.M. Arts

Our place is at 364 Shiv Kripa, located on Sector 9, Road Savina. It’s more of a workshop than a store, really. At M.M. Arts, we work with our hands mostly. You’ll find pieces of stone, wood, or paint everywhere you look. It’s not the neatest place, but that’s how we work best. My father started doing this and I just sort of stayed with it after I finished school. We don't have a marketing team or a website that looks professional. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone told them where we are located. The light in the morning is great for working on the finer details of the pieces. We drink tea and sit on the wooden stools while we talk about what needs to be finished. Sometimes a piece takes longer than we thought it would. We don't rush it because that’s how mistakes happen and material gets wasted. The neighbors are used to the sound of us working late into the evening. It’s a quiet enough street otherwise. We don't put on any airs about being great artists or anything special. We just make things that people want to put in their homes or gardens. Some days the chips of stone get everywhere, and we have to spend an hour just sweeping up at the end. It’s just part of the day. We’re usually here from morning until the sun goes down, just working on whatever is on the bench. It's fine by me.
