Millennium Art Gallery

Millennium Art Gallery is located in Bhatiyani Chohata, which is right in the heart of the old city area. It is a very lively place to be with all the shops and people moving around. The gallery itself is in an old building that has a lot of character, even if the walls are a bit uneven and the floorboards creak when you walk on them. We have a lot of different paintings on display, mostly things that capture the local style of the region. I spend a lot of time arranging the pieces so they look okay under the lamps we have installed. It can get quite dusty because the street outside is always busy, so I’m often seen with a cloth cleaning the frames. I opened this place because I have an interest in art and wanted to have a space where I could show what local painters are doing. It isn't a massive gallery like you see in big cities, just a few rooms filled with color. Sometimes tourists stop by while they are walking towards the palace, and they ask questions about the work. I try to answer as best as I can, though my English isn't perfect. It’s just a small local business trying to keep going. We don't have any fancy brochures or anything, just the art on the walls and a place for people to sit if they want to look.
