If you walk toward Sahelion Ki Bari in Udaipur, you’ll find us at 10-A, New Fatehpura. Mewar Art Gallery has been sitting here for quite some time now. The area is usually busy with tourists visiting the gardens, but our side of the street is a little quieter. Inside, it smells a bit like paint and old paper, which is something you just get used to. We spend a lot of our time unwrapping pieces or talking to the artists who drop by. The lighting isn't always perfect, but we try to make the most of the space we have. It’s not a huge gallery, just a few rooms filled with different works we’ve collected. We don't really bother with big grand openings or anything too formal. Most days it’s just us dusting the frames and making sure everything looks okay for whoever might wander in. The walls are a bit scuffed in places from moving things around so much. New Fatehpura is a nice place to be, and having the gardens nearby makes for a good view when we step outside for a break. We don't use any fancy sales talk here. If someone likes a painting, they buy it. If not, they just look around and we say hello. It’s a simple way to run things, and it keeps us busy enough throughout the week without needing to make a big fuss about it.
