Kk Arts & Crafts

We’ve been over here at 66, Polo Ground for a while now. It’s a busy spot, and most days you’ll find us sorting through all sorts of supplies and finished pieces. Kk Arts & Crafts isn't a huge operation, just a handful of us working on whatever needs doing. Sometimes the workshop gets pretty cluttered because there’s always a project on the table or a new delivery sitting by the door. We handle a lot of different materials. Some people drop by just to see what’s new or to ask if we can help with something specific they have in mind. It’s not fancy. The floor usually has some scraps on it, and the shelves are packed tight. We just get on with the work. Usually, we start early when it’s still quiet around the Polo Ground area. By afternoon, things pick up and it gets noisy outside. We don’t really do much in the way of big announcements or anything like that. People just know where we are. If you walk past the main gate, you’ll see our sign. We try to keep things organized but it doesn't always stay that way when we are busy. It’s a job, and we like doing it. Dealing with various crafts, mostly local stuff that people look for, keeps the day moving. Nothing too complicated, just honest work done by hand mostly. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but we’re still right here doing our thing.
