Gadiya Bistar House

Gadiya Bistar House is located at Amal Ka Kanta Bhahampuri 27. We are basically in the business of sleep and comfort, but the work itself isn't very relaxing. We handle a lot of heavy mattresses, thick quilts, and all kinds of bedding. Most of our day is spent moving these things around or helping people pick out what they need for their homes. Our shop in Bhahampuri is filled with the smell of fresh cotton and the sound of fabric being cut. We don’t have a big air-conditioned showroom. It’s more of a traditional store where things are stacked high up to the ceiling. When someone has a lot of guests coming over for a wedding, they come to us to rent out extra beds and pillows. It’s a lot of loading and unloading from the back of the shop. We’ve got some old sewing machines that we use for repairs and making sure the covers are stitched tight. It’s a local neighborhood business through and through. We know many of the families around Amal Ka Kanta because we’ve been here for years. The floor is often covered in bits of thread and fluff, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t use any fancy sales tactics. We just show people what we have, tell them the price, and help them carry it to their vehicle. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy.
