Vivekananda Vidya Peeta

You will find Vivekananda Vidya Peeta tucked away in Maruthi Nagar in Gubbi. It is a straightforward kind of place, nothing too complicated about how we run things here. The school is surrounded by the usual houses and small shops you see in this part of Tumkur. We have a gate that squeaks every time someone walks through it, and the trees in the yard provide some shade when the sun gets too hot in the middle of the day. Most of the kids walk here from nearby, their bags looking a bit too heavy for their shoulders. Inside, the classrooms are filled with wooden benches that have seen better days, but they serve the purpose. We do not have any big fancy equipment, just the basics that a school needs to function. The staff spends their time marking papers and talking to parents who stop by to check on their children. It is a bit of a quiet life here in Gubbi, and the school reflects that. We do not try to be anything we are not. We just open up in the morning, do the teaching, and head home when the final bell rings at four. Sometimes we have small events where we put up some decorations, but mostly it is just the daily grind of lessons and exams. It is honest work and the kids seem happy enough to be here most of the time.
