Gchs Thyagatur School

Gchs Thyagatur School is situated at 53-6-92 in the Gubbi Block of Nittur. It is a quiet enough area, mostly residential with some small shops nearby. Our address at 53-6-92 is where everything happens. The school isn't very large, but it fits into the Gubbi Block perfectly. We have been here for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit, but it is solid. We have a small courtyard where the kids gather for their morning assembly. Nittur is a good community to be in. We know most of the people who live on our street. The daily life at the school is pretty simple. We open the doors early and stay until the last student is picked up in the afternoon. We don't have any corporate polish or a big mission statement. We just teach the subjects and make sure the kids are learning what they need to. Sometimes the desks get a bit wobbly and we have to tighten the screws, or the walls need a fresh coat of paint. It is a very hands-on place to work. The staff here are all from the local area, so we understand the families and what they need. We just go about our business in Nittur without making much noise. It’s a steady, local school for the neighborhood and we are happy to be here.
