Mahatma Gandhi High School & Jr. College - Kunigal

In the town of Kunigal, there is Mahatma Gandhi High School & Jr. College. It’s a government junior college, and everyone in the 572130 area knows the spot. It is a pretty straightforward place. We have the high school kids and the junior college students all sharing the space. Kunigal is a nice enough town, and the college is right in the thick of it. The morning starts with a lot of noise as students arrive from all over the local area. The building is a bit old, with high ceilings and heavy doors. It has that government-style feel to it where everything is functional and built to last. There are no fancy decorations on the walls, just the usual notices and student work. The teachers here have a lot of work to do, keeping track of so many students. During the lunch break, the grounds get very crowded. You’ll see students sitting on the steps or under the trees eating their lunch. It’s a very grounded atmosphere. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s a place for the local kids to get their education without having to travel too far away. The staff are just regular people from the neighborhood mostly. Life goes on here day by day, with the seasons changing and the batches of students coming and going through the gates of the college.
