If you walk down Vaikolkara Street in Periyar, you will eventually run into our building. Rose School has been tucked away on this street for quite some time now. It’s a lively neighborhood, and being in the Periyar area means there is always a lot of foot traffic and noise from the nearby shops. Our school fits right into the local scene. The building isn't brand new, but it’s sturdy and serves us well for all the classes we run. We start early in the morning, and the sounds of students reciting their lessons usually fill the air by nine o'clock. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when everyone is in the hallway at once, but we make it work. The staff here is mostly local people who have been with us for years. We don’t do things in a very fancy way; we just focus on the books and making sure the kids understand what’s being taught. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a delivery truck or a festival procession, but that’s just how things go around here. We like the energy of the Periyar district. It keeps us on our toes. Parents often pop in to talk about how their kids are doing, and we usually have time for a quick word. It’s a humble place, just a regular school trying to do a good job for the families on Vaikolkara Street. We are just part of the everyday life of the neighborhood.
