Mes Asmabi College

Out here in P. Vemballur, near Kodungallur, you’ll find our college. It’s a big part of the local community in this corner of Kerala. The campus is spread out, and it has that typical look with the tiled roofs and the greenery you see everywhere around here. Students come from all over the Kodungallur area, often taking the local buses that stop nearby. It’s a busy place during the week, with plenty of chatter in the corridors and people sitting under the shade of the trees between their lectures. We handle a variety of courses, so the crowd is quite mixed. The administrative office is usually the busiest spot, especially when it’s time for exams or new admissions. It’s not one of those high-tech city colleges. We have what we need to get the job done, but it’s more about the people and the learning than the shiny equipment. You might see some construction or repair work happening on one of the blocks; we try to keep things maintained as best as we can. The atmosphere is generally relaxed but focused when it needs to be. Staff and students know each other pretty well since it’s a smaller town environment. At the end of the day, when the last bus leaves, the campus gets very quiet. It’s just a regular college serving the people living in and around the P. Vemballur post office area. We just do our work and keep things moving forward as each year passes by for everyone.
