Maya College

Maya College has been part of Thrissur for a while now. We are located right in the 680001 area, and the atmosphere here is quite typical for a Kerala college. The rain is a big part of our life; when the monsoon hits, everything gets a bit damp and we have to make sure the library books are safe. Our building is simple and functional, without any unnecessary decorations. We spend our mornings checking the attendance and making sure the lecturers are in their rooms. The students here are generally a good lot, though they like to spend their free time talking under the trees or near the entrance. We have a small admin desk where we handle all the fees and the paperwork for the university. It isn't a high-tech operation, just some computers and a lot of paper. We often have to fix things around the place, like a flickering light or a leaky tap in the washroom. The local shops nearby are where we usually get our snacks and tea during the breaks. It is a quiet kind of place most of the time, except when there is a festival or an exam coming up. We just aim to keep the schedule moving and help the students get through their courses without any major hiccups. Being near the center of town means we are always easy to find for anyone looking for us.
