Mar Osthatheos Training College

Mar Osthatheos Training College is located out here in Perumpilavu, near Kunnamkulam. It’s a quiet part of Thrissur, which is actually good for people trying to study and become teachers. We have been working out of this spot for a while now. The building is pretty standard for this area, with wide hallways and some trees around the grounds to keep things a bit cooler during the summer months. Most of the people who come here are looking to get their training done so they can go work in schools across Kerala. It is a lot of lectures and practical work, which keeps everyone busy from morning until late afternoon. We have a small library and some offices where the staff tries to keep track of all the student records and schedules. Sometimes the rain here in Kerala makes things a bit messy on the walkways, but we just deal with it. It’s a straightforward place. We don’t have any big, flashy signs or anything like that. Just the main gate and the classrooms where the future teachers sit and listen to the professors. Life here follows a very set rhythm. The buses come through regularly, and the students walk up from the main road. It’s just a place where people come to learn a specific job. We try to keep the place tidy and make sure the fans are working in the heat. Nothing too complicated goes on here.
