Niramala College Of Art And Science

We’ve been at Akkara House near the West Stand in Ollur for quite a while now. Most people around Thrissur know where we are. It’s a busy spot, but it works for the students coming in from different parts of Kerala. The building isn't brand new or anything, but it’s where everything happens for the art and science courses at Niramala College Of Art And Science. Some days it gets pretty loud with all the buses nearby at the stand, but you get used to it. We try to keep things moving. There’s a lot of paperwork usually piling up on the desks in the office. It’s just how it goes when you’re running a college. The staff here mostly grew up around this area, so we know the local routes and the shortcuts. Sometimes the rains make the walk from the stand a bit of a mess, but we manage. Students come in, go to their classes, and hang out in the hallways between lectures. We don't have fancy lounges, just the usual classrooms and labs. It’s a practical place. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the exams are handled. Nothing too complicated about how we run things here. If you walk past the West Stand, you’ll see our sign. It’s been there long enough that it’s just part of the neighborhood now. We’re just a group of people trying to keep this institution going for the kids who live around Thrissur. It's a lot of work every day.
