Haven Montessori School

Haven Montessori School is tucked away in Mahatma Nagar on Jubilee Mission Road in Nellikunnu, Thrissur. It is a bit of a quieter spot compared to the main city roads. We follow the Montessori way of doing things, which means the rooms look a bit different than a regular school. There are lots of wooden toys, mats on the floor, and things for the little kids to touch and move around. We have children who are very young, so the atmosphere is usually a mix of playing and learning. The building is more like a house that has been converted into a school. It feels a bit more personal that way. We have a small yard where the kids can run around under the trees. Thrissur gets a lot of rain, so we spend a fair amount of time inside during the monsoon months. The staff here are mostly local women who have been trained to work with young children. We don't have a big administrative office; it's just a small desk near the door. Parents like that it’s in a residential area because it feels safer for the little ones. We don't do formal exams or anything like that. It’s just about the kids getting used to being around others and learning basic things at their own pace. It is a simple, steady place in a nice part of town for the families nearby.
