Albab Central School

We are located in Kattoor, which is in the Mukundapuram area of Thrissur. It’s a nice part of Kerala with plenty of greenery around us. Our school building is a familiar sight for the people living here. We’ve got the typical classrooms with big windows to let in the breeze, which is really important during those humid months. The school yard gets pretty muddy when the monsoons hit, but that’s just part of life in Thrissur. We have a good mix of students from the local villages. Every morning, you can hear the sound of the school prayer and then the general hum of lessons starting. We aren't a big, fancy international chain; we’re just a local school serving our community. The teachers here mostly live nearby and they know the families well. We have a small canteen and a place where the kids play football when the weather allows. Our office is a simple room where the records are kept in old wooden cabinets. We don’t really go for big advertisements or anything promotional. We just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the kids are learning something useful. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we’ve been doing it for years now. Being in 680702 feels like home to all of us, and we just keep the doors open for everyone.
