Homedeli

We are based in Kazhakkootam, which has changed a lot lately with all the new buildings and people moving in. Homedeli started out as a small idea because we saw how everyone was getting too busy to cook or go out. Now, it’s mostly us coordinating deliveries and making sure the food gets to where it needs to go. It isn't a very complicated setup. We have a small space where we keep track of the orders and the riders. Kazhakkootam can have some pretty bad traffic during the rush hours, so we spend a lot of time looking at maps and checking the time. It gets hectic around lunch and dinner, as you can imagine. There are times when a bike breaks down or an address is hard to find, and we have to scramble to fix it. We aren't some giant corporation with fancy apps; we’re just local people trying to get meals delivered on time. The office is usually full of the smell of different foods and the sound of phones ringing. We don't use a lot of big words or marketing talk. We just want to make sure the bag of food is still warm when it hits the doorstep. It’s a lot of running around and making sure the details are right. Every day is a bit different depending on the weather and how many people are hungry. It definitely keeps us on our toes all day long.
