Shri Surajmalji High School

If you head down Kharaghodha Road in Patdi, you’ll find us. Shri Surajmalji High School has been on this stretch for quite some time. We’re in the Surendra Nagar district. It’s a busy road, so there’s always noise from the trucks passing by. Our school isn’t anything fancy. It’s just a long building with several classrooms and a small office at the front. We have a lot of students coming in from the nearby areas. Most of them are local kids whose families have lived in Patdi for generations. We try to keep the place running smoothly, even when it gets crowded. The teachers here are mostly locals too. We don’t have much in the way of high-tech gadgets, just blackboards and chalk. It’s a traditional way of doing things. The courtyard is where the kids gather for assembly in the morning. It can get pretty dry and windy out here. We deal with the weather and the dust as best as we can. It’s a plain, working school. People know us because we’ve been here so long. There’s no big mystery to how we operate. We just open the gates every morning and get to work teaching the subjects that are required. It’s a solid part of the neighborhood. We don't have many bells and whistles, but the school gets the kids through their secondary years.
